The Virginia Chorale, the Commonwealth’s premier professional chamber chorus, concludes its 41st season with Voyage à Paris. Come along as we journey through five centuries of choral music with a French connection. With works by Josquin des Prez, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc, Aaron Copland, and Michel Legrand, this vibrant mix of composers and musical styles will offer a diverse and captivating experience to our audiences. Voyage à Paris is certain to be très charmant and a delightful conclusion to our 41st season! Artistic Director Charles Woodward will conduct this special concert series, as the Virginia Chorale continues to bring culturally rich musical experiences to Hampton Roads.
Founded forty-one years ago, the Virginia Chorale has grown from a community-based early music chorus to today’s dynamic group of professional singers, performing repertoire ranging from the Middle Ages to the music of today. Voyage à Paris is the fourth program in our 2024-2025 subscription series.
