Join Anja as we combine yoga philosophy with crafting + fun on and off the mat As a former home ec + arts and crafts teacher && published author Anja will show you different ways to approach consumption. In this workshop you will cover an intro to the 8 limbs of yoga including the physical practice (asana) + breath work (pranayama) && meditation (dhyana). You will also learn how the ethical principals of yoga can impact your consumptions of goods. These ethical guidelines (aka Yamas and Niyamas) are some “rules”, that can be easily adapted and applied to the daily life. In this workshop Anja will show you how you can use the yogi moral compass regarding all things sustainability. Anja is a believer, that buying things new can often be avoided and that making things from scratch builds awareness, enhances creativity is a freaking ton of fun! This is why you will get crafty in the practical part of the workshop, making your own eye pillow using the sewing machine. You never sat behind a sewing machine before? No problem – if you can drive a car you can master sewing with a machine! The workshop will end with a relaxing restorative practice, where you will you use your new eye pillow for a deeper and more intense sensation.
