On the heels of his explosive Netflix comedy special, WOKE FOKE, critically acclaimed comedian Katt Williams announces the HEAVEN ON EARTH TOUR. Produced by North American Entertainment Group, the upcoming tour with new material kicks off in January 2025, making stops across the U.S., including Scope Arena on April 4, 2025.

Tickets will be available starting with a presale beginning Wednesday, June 5 at 10 a.m. local time. The general onsale will start Friday, June 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster.com and at the Scope Arena box office.

 

With a career spanning over 20 years, Katt Williams has earned a worldwide reputation as one of today’s top entertainers, having developed a career seeded with thousands of sold-out arenas, an expansive list of starring roles on the small screen and memorable performances in major box office hits. Since performing his first stand-up show as a teenager, Williams took the comedy world by storm. He quickly developed a unique style of stand-up that combines articulate and sharp dialogue rooted in conversations reflecting the American political landscape. By 1999, he had cultivated a loyal fan base and was performing on some of the most notable comedy stages across the nation.

In 2002, Williams made his onscreen debut as a guest star on “NYPD Blue” and subsequently landed his first feature film role as Money Mike in “Friday After Next.” His extensive filmography includes notable roles in “Father Figures,” “Norbit,” “Scary Movie V,” “Epic Movie,” “Bastards,” “The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2,” “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore,” “The Boondocks,” “Wild ‘n Out,” and a guest role in the critically acclaimed series “Atlanta,” which earned him a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. Celebrated for his brilliance and ingenuity on stage, Williams is also known for his critically acclaimed stand-up specials, including “The Pimp Chronicles,” “It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’,” “Katt Williams: Pimpadelic,” “American Hustle,” “Priceless: Afterlife,” “Kattpacalypse,” “Katt Williams: Great America,” and “Katt Williams: World War III.”

We’ll be adding hearts and rainbows to our stripes and spots during our third annual Pride Night. All ages are welcome at this event to celebrate all things Pride, meet Animal Ambassadors, peruse a mini Pride-themed market, shake your tail feathers to tunes spun by a local DJ and so much more!

*Please note that in order to not disrupt our animals’ routines, exhibit trails will close at 7:30pm, though the event continues until 8pm. The Goat Yard in the ZooFarm will remain open until 7:45pm.

An Evening with John Toomey Jazz Quartet

Virginia Stage Company is thrilled to introduce a new concert series called Tazewell Lounge Series at the Wells.  The inaugural performance to kickoff this series is An Evening with the John Toomey Jazz Quartet on Saturday, July 27th at 8pm.  This intimate performance will take place at the Wells Theatre in the Tazewell Lounge. John and his quartet will perform 2 sets, opening at 8pm, with a cocktail hour starting at 7pm.

Professor John Toomey has been recognized for excellence in teaching several times, including his designation as University Professor for Excellence in Teaching, an honorary title awarded to less than 2 percent of the faculty at the university.  Other honors include TELETECHNET Professor of the Year, and winner of the prestigious  SCHEV Award for Excellence in Teaching.  His most recent release is a live quartet recording with jazz trombone legend John Fedchock entitled Reminiscence, released on the Summit label.

An Evening with John Toomey Jazz Quartet will play only at the Wells on Saturday, July 28th in Norfolk, Virginia. There are an extremely limited number of tickets available now on sale and can be purchased online at www.vastage.org or by calling the box office at (757) 627-1234 (Monday – Friday from 10am -3pm).  General admission tickets are $20 each.  There are also a limited number of  lounge tables of 4 seats total for $100 for each table.  Doors open at 7pm for a cocktail hour before the 8pm concert.
