Pottery Camp invites campers to explore the fundamentals of ceramics! There is a different theme every week, allowing endless opportunities to create and explore their imagination. Pottery Camp follows the same themes and times as our Summer Art Camp, but is a separate camp. Campers cannot be enrolled in Summer Art Camp and Pottery Camp for the same week(s).

**Ages 8-11 years old, grades 3-6**

This exciting new event expands on the former Undergraduate Research Symposium, highlighting ODU’s vibrant research and creative community.

Undergraduate and medical students engaged in research or creative projects are encouraged to present a poster of their work—an excellent opportunity to gain experience and enhance your CV/resume.

Five Dollar Comedy at Push is a surefire ticket to laughs and something fun to do on a Friday night in Norfolk. Whether it’s a quick night out with friends or you’re celebrating the weekend, Push Comedy Theater brings you discounted tickets at just $5.00 for a full night of improv comedy.

Harold Night is one of Push’s longest-running shows and is the big, bad granddaddy of all long-form improv! Normally improv is a bunch of fun games and small scenes. But with Harold Night, with a single audience suggestion multiple scenes and characters are weaved together to create a full world by Push Comedy Theater’s top improvisers. These characters eventually meet and crossover, and who knows where things will go from there. Because it’s all made up of the spot… right before your eyes.

Harold Night is bizarre, magical, and gets weird, really fast. So if you’re looking for something adventurous and fun to do on Thursday night in Norfolk, grab your tickets and settle in for Harold Night. This show typically features two improv teams and has one, 10-minute intermission. So there’s plenty of time to use the restroom and grab a beverage without missing a beat. A blend of Chicago and New York influences, Sounds Made Up is a musical improv show form called The Musical Armando, and features a special guest storyteller or monologist whose only rule is that they have to tell TRUE stories about their life! A wild ride of a LIVE talk show in Hampton Roads!

Filmed LIVE at The Push Comedy Theater, The Nascar Jones Show walks a fine line between unscripted comedy and planned talk show shenanigans. With a one-word suggestion, the audience inspires the host, Nascar Jones, to give an opening monologue and the show follows the fun from there. Though the guests’ names are planned, no one knows anything beyond that. One night you may see the next up-and-coming musical act, another maybe your favorite pirate or even an almost-real athlete

This show is guaranteed to feature live music, Sunday sermons, fake commercials, and everything else you’d expect from a comedy talk show. And did we mention it? Aside from a bit of planning, no one has any clue what is going to happen next! Nascar Jones has made it his mission to bring fun, danger, and excitement back to late-night talk shows. Nascar delivers a deep and all-encompassing interview style that will make you LAUGH and CRY. But most importantly, THINK.

And if that wasn’t enough, Nascar Jones always ends his show with a daring game of “Lemme Talk 2 Ya Momma” or (even better) “Lemme Talk 2 Ya Ex”! It’s a wild Sunday night that will have you until work on Monday.

Before film and television (but after oral tradition), there were books! Books still exist to this very day as a popular means of storytelling. Here at The Push Comedy Theater, we’ve decided to celebrate the staying power of books by starting our very own book club!

Bring your favorite book and tell us about it. Our talented team of improvisers (voracious readers, all) will perform the entire story before your very eyes in about 20 minutes.

From classic literature to pulp fiction, we’re ready to introduce your favorite book to the world! Push Book Club is a fully improvised show. You bring the book… we’ll share it with the audience the best way we can… completely improvised.

Once a month, your host and veteran comic (Hatton Jordan) invites a line-up of proven comics for a night of stand-up comedy at The Push Comedy Theater. Whether they try new material or just work the room with road-tested jokes, these comics will have you gasping for breath between laughs. With a typical line-up of about 6 comedians, this is the best budget-friendly stand-up comedy ticket in all of Hampton Roads.

Just to be clear, this is NOT an “open mic” and each month is a new, seasoned line-up. Hatton has had 30 years of experience in performing stand-up comedy in the Hampton Roads area. So he knows how to put together a great night of laughs. This show runs about 90 minutes long and does not have an intermission. Feel free to mindfully get up at any point during the show to refresh your beverage to take a bathroom break. The comics won’t mind one bit.

A Murder Mystery in Norfolk like no other!

Everyone in the room is a suspect in this wild murder mystery in Norfolk… EVEN YOU! The Unusual Suspects is a completely made-up murder mystery. Detective Brad McMurran walks you through the suspects… all pulled from the audience. No matter what twists the suspects throw at our great detective, he’s following the fun right to the very end. Watch in amazement as Brad pieces the puzzle back together, and leaves everyone doubled over with laughter. The show is completely improvised, so who knows what will happen next?

Each month, Brad plays a different detective inspired by the great sleuths of fiction. If you love mysteries, whodunnits, and good plot loop-hole, The Unusual Suspects is for you. Can you solve the murder before our crack investigator?

The Unusual Suspects is the brainchild of Brad McMurran (co-writer of Cuff Me: The 50 Shades of Grey Musical Parody, and co-owner of The Push Comedy Theater). The show regularly sells out at the Push Comedy Theater. It has been performed at parties, festivals, and corporate events. It was performed monthly at the South Point Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
