Composer Jessie Montgomery, one of the greatest new voices of our time, wrote this nostalgic and beautiful piece for our soloist with whom she grew up on the lower East Side of Manhattan. Then hear Antonin Dvořák’s music composed at the beginning of what would become known as his American period. Though separated by 100 years, Dvořák and Montgomery lived about 10 blocks away from each other.
