CPOW-Alamo Scouts Reunion

October 12 2024

9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
MacArthur Memorial 198 Bank St., Norfolk, VA

WWII liberators and civilian ex-prisoners of war come together on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 9am to present a series of public talks on wartime experiences. Join us for this special program exploring how the war affected the Allied civilians living in the Philippines and the U.S. 6th Army Special Reconnaissance Unit, better known as the “Alamo Scouts,” who aided in liberating the POW camps. Free and open to the public, this program is made possible by the General Douglas MacArthur Foundation in partnership with the Alamo Scouts Historical Foundation and CPOW (Civilian Ex-Prisoners of War Group).
