Brick by Brick LEGO Shipbuilding

It’s back in person, and better than ever! On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Brick by Brick: LEGO Shipbuilding, run by the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, will return to the Half Moone Cruise Terminal in downtown Norfolk. The event is completely FREE of charge and runs from 10am to 4pm.

This event will include a LEGO shipbuilding contest (either bring a ship that you built at home or build one on-site using our LEGO bricks), build-a-ship LEGO activities with designs made by Hampton Roads Naval Museum staff, crafts, robotics, ship displays, free-play areas for both LEGOs and Duplos, and much more! Activities are available for kids of all ages. A sensory room is also available for families who need some quiet time during the event.

Parking will cost $5 in the Norfolk city garages (cash or credit), and food and gifts will be available for purchase. Registration for our FREE event is recommended, but not required. To register, click on the Eventbrite link found in this event page.

LEGO Shipbuilding Contest Information:

If you’re submitting a ship for the LEGO shipbuilding contest, your completed ship must be on-site at the event before 2pm on February 4th. Winners will be announced by 3:30pm.

To pre-register your ship for the event, complete this Google form by Friday, February 3 via the Eventbrite link on this event page.
