Magic is around every corner in Downtown Norfolk, as 50 tiny elf doors have appeared all around Downtown! This seasonal scavenger hunt will take you on a fun journey all throughout Downtown Norfolk. Elves have installed 50 tiny, colorful entrances decked out for the holidays.
You can find these magical doors near theaters, restaurants, parks and any other places elves may gather throughout Downtown Norfolk. The doors are not lit, so do this scavenger hunt during the day!

Chip Davis, founder and creator of Mannheim Steamroller, celebrates more than 35 Years of his annual Christmas concert tour, making it the longest running concert tour in the entertainment industry! Davis said the hallmark tour will begin on November 12 and run through December 30 with a stop in Norfolk at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2 at Chrysler Hall.

Norfolk native Anthony Parnther delighted audiences during his appearance with the VSO in 2023, and we’re delighted to invite him back to the podium!

Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” (written by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss) from the original animated series. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets (John Lee Beatty) and costumes (Robert Morgan) inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, while the Music and Book of Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason breathe new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. The 2024 production is directed by Matt August and choreographed by Bob Richard based on the original choreography by John DeLuca and originally created by 4-time Tony Award® winning director, Jack O’Brien.
