Sunsets on the River

Norfolk’s favorite riverside concert series returns for its 14th summer with fun for the whole family along the shoreline of the Elizabeth River. This year’s line up includes: Interactive Top 40, Country/Americana, R&B, Swing, Psychedelic Rock, Rockabilly and more. See the full 2024 schedule here.
Fourth of July
July 4, 2024, Town Point Park
Fireworks are just better on the water. Celebrate America’s birthday this year with a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display at Town Point Park along the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront. Relax on the lawn and enjoy an evening of All-American fare, including hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, seafood, cotton candy and much more, along with live musical entertainment from military brass bands. The night is capped off by the sensational fireworks show high above the Elizabeth River, beginning at 9:30pm.
Latino Music Festival

Every summer Town Point Park transforms into one giant dance floor. Grab your partner for an evening of salsa, meringue and guaguanco dancing. Live explosive Latin music by local, regional and national recording artists will fill the park all evening. This cultural event will not only showcase stellar Latin beats but will also deliver the best Latin cuisine Norfolk has to offer.

Each week through Sept. 1 the big bands come to the Bay for an evening full of dancing and music to round out exciting summer weekends. Virginia Symphony Orchestra Concert in the Park

Virginia’s pre-eminent professional symphony orchestra will appear in concert for a free evening Downtown Norfolk waterfront performance. This annual summer concert features national recording artists and includes gourmet artisan foods and beverages available for purchase. The theme for 2024 is “The Great American Picnic.”
Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival
Aug. 16-17, 2024, Town Point Park
Pull up your lawn chair to the longest-running Jazz Festival in Norfolk and Hampton Roads. Chill on Norfolk’s waterfront while indulging in the tunes of sweet smooth Jazz and R&B. This year’s performers include Kirk Whalum, Norman Brown and Rebecca Jade on Friday; Larry Carlton, Bob James and Four80East with Jeff Kashiwa on Saturday.
Virginia CaribFest

Come and experience the fusion of food, colors, creativity, incredible art and live, authentic Caribbean music along the waterside at Town Point Park. Watch the Parade of Bands full of stunning, vibrant colorful costumes with unique themes and music to get everyone moving. NashFest 757
Sept. 14, 2024, Town Point Park
Hot chicken, hard drinks, and Music City sounds. NashFest 757, a one-day festival celebrating the iconic culture and cuisine of Nashville is back Sept. 14 at the Downtown Norfolk Waterfront. Fusing together all of the elements that make Nashville one of America’s most popular cities, NashFest 757 will offer an experience similar to an evening stroll down Broadway, featuring national and local recording artists, mouth-watering hot chicken, barbecue and biscuits, line dancing, craft beer and whiskey tastings, bull riding and more. The 2024 lineup of performers has not been announced yet, but will be listed this summer at the Festevents website here.
