The 2024 Shamrockin’ in Ghent, St. Patrick’s Day Block Party, will be held on March 8, from 6 to 10 p.m. This FREE event takes place on Colley Avenue in Norfolk’s History Ghent District between Shirley and Gates Avenue.
This lively evening includes musical performances by The Fighting Jamesons and Tidewater Pipes and Drums. Food trucks will have tasty treats, and cash bars will offer beer, including Guinness, and whisky drinks.
This local’s favorite celebration is presented by Southern Bank, and proceeds benefit Hope House Foundation.
The annual St. Patrick’s Day event was originally started 11 years ago as the Greening of Ghent. The tradition has continued now for 30 years. Hope House Foundation is proud to keep this long-standing tradition going in our community.
