The urban design tour will discuss highlights of Norfolk’s urban renewal, from the 1950s onward. Tour guide Joshua Weinstein tells the story of the downfall of cities throughout America in the mid-20th century, the federal programs that catalyzed their redevelopment and demolition, and the projects, people, and visions that revitalized Norfolk in the last half century to become the award-winning urban destination it is today.
The tour will begin at Slover Library and walk through downtown for around one hour.
We are looking forward to sharing this unique, fun, and new experience with you all!
